Director of Evangelism Flurry
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, hands-on, enthusiastic Director of Evangelism to spearhead awareness and understanding of Flurry?s products by the developer community in the booming mobile app marketplace. This is a critically important role to effectively communicate the full value proposition of our services to the mobile community. This position is at our corporate headquarters in San Francisco.This position presents an exciting combination of management, engineering and community engagement. You?ll lead a talented team of mobile engineers, drive engagement in Flurry services at scale and have fun hacking on code to showcase the best practice use of Flurry services. You will be a part of Flurry?s fast-paced and disciplined engineering team and will work horizontally with marketing.
Responsibilities
Hire and manage all aspects of geographically distributed team of 4+ mobile engineer advocates
Work closely with Marketing to plan and run global developer events aimed at helping devs create better apps through use of the Flurry platform, getting feedback on our products, and promoting goodwill in the mobile community
Establish processes and channels to ensure the mobile dev community has access to a constant stream of updates on Flurry, such as cool uses of our services, new partnerships, sample apps we create, webinars, and best practices
Guide team in developing tools and sample apps to showcase best practice uses of the Flurry suite
Engage mobile community in public forums such as Twitter, Stack Overflow, mobile development platform forums
Conduct design and code reviews
Perform employee performance reviews
Work directly with developers to help them write and deploy their applications using Flurry services and products.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and performance tune production systems as necessary.
Write unit-tested and maintainable code.
Requirements
You should have a track record of success in software evangelism, team management, software design, implementation, and troubleshooting, including substantial work on mobile platforms. You thrive on learning and applying new technologies. You have good people skills, are engaging, articulate, and write well.
Expertise in object-oriented, multithreaded software development in Java and/or Objective-C.
Minimum 4 years experience building scalable and reliable software applications.
2+ years experience as an engineering manager or development team lead
2+ years being an evangelist for a software product.
2+ years solid experience building applications for Android and/or iOS platforms.
Ability to travel worldwide to mobile/developer conferences, meetups, hackathons, or on-site at high-value clients
Demonstrable samples of outbound, one to many communications over channels such as Github, Twitter, Stack Overflow, community forums, blog posts, etc
Strong skills in performance tuning, unit testing, and troubleshooting of sophisticated systems and applications.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (Masters a plus).
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with J2EE, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, HTML, MySQL
Experience with REST APIs
