As the Director of Executive Communications, you are responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications programs for MarkMonitor executive leadership. You will identify and design programs that target corporate leadership (CEOs, GMs, C-suite) as well as programs geared to employees. You will work closely with executives and internal stakeholders in product, marketing, PR and HR functions as well as external contacts and agencies to design and implement these communications programs. You will research, recommend and manage executive speaking and contributed content opportunities for thought leadership purposes, including developing topics, pitching event organizers, developing all aspects of content, and managing the logistics for each executive engagement. You will also work closely with company leadership and HR to identify needs and develop internal communications, including corporate blog posts and company-wide email. Whether the program is geared internally or externally, you will work closely with company leadership to ensure messaging, tone, format and expectations are expertly developed and delivered. This position reports to the Vice President of Communications.

Build effective relationships with company leadership across all functions;
Partner with executive leadership to establish the executive brand to build respect and trust with all key audiences (customers, partners, influencers, employees, industry);
Develop and refine GM/CEO messages and presentations for the entire spectrum of external stakeholders;
Collaborate closely with Marketing Communications, Employee Communications, HR and Public Relations leaders to develop integrated messaging programs and content;
Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural and geographic differences and accommodate appropriately;
Identify speaking and presentation venues for GM/CEO to address his/her peers;
Write world-class internal communications;
Develop compelling thought leadership programs and produce deliverables, including contributed articles, presentations, speeches, etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
World-class experience and skills in corporate and B2B writing, editing and preparation of presentations with a clear focus on delivering results;
A passion for enabling and supporting high profile business leaders;
Excellence in communications strategy and execution;
Superior and sound creative instincts and abilities with an ability to innovate;
Knowledge and seasoning in enterprise software and intellectual property issues;
Great interpersonal skills, with a proven history of organizational leadership through influence;
Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment with elan, brio and calm focus;
At least 8-10 years demonstrating these communications skills for demanding clients and companies in a B2B environment;
BA/BS degree in journalism, public relations, communications, English literature or equivalent experience;
Well-honed writing skills, including producing executive contributed articles and well-developed editing skills; extensive knowledge and demonstrated use of AP Style (samples required);
Ability to effectively use Word, PowerPoint and other MS office tools as well as blog platforms like Wordpress;
Proven ability to work as a team player cross-functionally as well as with remote stakeholders;
Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple projects at once, adapt to change and exhibit a bias-to-action.
