Director of Food Safety Blue Apron
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We're looking for a Director of Food Safety to join our growing team! You'll be the subject matter expert when it comes to everything food safety - you're familiar with implementing food quality systems, as well as managing them. Your top priority will be to ensure you're exceeding all quality and safety expectations.
About the role
Lead food safety efforts in all Blue Apron facilities to ensure proper protocols are being followed
Leverage continuous improvement in best practices to improve quality and food safety processes
Oversee all HACCP food safety audits and programs
Provide input on food safety issues to other team members and act as the lead on top priorities and projects
Identify areas to develop and optimize quality and food safety programs across the company
Gather data by developing new metrics and using the data to define ways to drive improvement
Primary contact for food safety programs, research, sanitation practices, and regulatory compliance
Act as food safety liaison to state and local regulatory agencies as well as identify where these needs exist in local, state and federal levels
Bachelor?s degree required in Food Service, Quality Operations or related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in food quality/safety
Strong influential management skills
Previous experience overseeing food safety programs in multiple sites
