NetMotion Wireless is seeking a motivated Director of Global Revenue and Technical Accounting who will be responsible for analysis and assessment of software revenue recognition and related concepts including VSOE in accordance with ASC 985-605, ASC 605-25, ASU 2009-13 and ASU 2009-14. They will be researching, concluding and documenting technical accounting issues as they relate to US GAAP including ASC 805 and ASC 350. In addition, the candidate will work with the revenue, sales and service teams to help drive process improvements where it relates to revenue recognition and VSOE reporting. This role reports to the Controller and will have frequent and integral interaction with the leadership of the Controller organization, the CFO, and the Financial Planning & Analysis team
Ensure revenue is accurate and in accordance with GAAP - ASC 985-605, ASC 605-25, ASU 2009-13 and ASU 2009-14. This includes analysis of monthly bookings for completeness and accuracy and ensuring contracts are VSOE compliant.
Review contracts for revenue recognition implications and make recommendations.
Support M&A and integration activities; both technical accounting ?ASC 805 and ASC 350, and operational processes.
Prepare consolidations financial reports to provide consolidated entity reporting packages for management review.
Supervision of the Sr. Revenue Accountant and the Order Entry Specialist.
Identify, investigate and resolve unusual, inaccurate and unexpected fluctuations or balances in financial statements.
Coordinate and communicate with business management and FP&A to support their detailed understanding of revenue streams.
Support the month-end processes related to revenue, including preparation of journal entries, deferral and amortization of selected revenues and costs, reporting and reconciliations of accounts associated with revenue streams as well as MDF and Royalties.
Work with the sales team to identify opportunities to improve processes and controls surrounding the recognition of revenue.

BS or BA in Accounting with active CPA
Minimum 7 yrs experience with at least 5 being in Public Accounting working in the software industry.
Minimum 3-5 yrs experience supervisory experience
Software revenue recognition experience
Ability to interpret customer contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment
Experienced in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and research including revenue and M&A activities.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft products including strong Excel skills
Experience with NetSuite and Great Plains is a plus
Ability to work well in a team environment
Effective problem-solving skills and sense of accountability
Great oral and written communication skills to interact with upper levels of management
Self-starting and self-motivated with a high level of initiative
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a high growth environment
