Source Medical is currently seeking a Director of Implementations. Candidate will be located in our Wallingford, CT office.
Summary of Position:
As a Director of Implementations, you will be a key member of Source Medical Client Services Leadership Team with the core responsibility of managing the Implementations team which is responsible for delivering Source Medical Software Applications to the customer. You will be responsible for directing all activities of implementation project plans across Source Medical, developing best practices and incorporating technology to drive efficiency across your organization. To meet your objectives, you will ensure that all resources are coordinated from contract finalization until customer acceptance. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Client Services.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly flexible, work effectively within customers and internal groups, possess strong project management skills, have the ability to make real-time adjustments to projects as needed and possess strong knowledge in solutions that take current processes to the next level of effectiveness. Additionally, as a Director of Implementations you will have the responsibility to lead a team, learn multiple products in depth, mentor peer groups, and serve as a subject matter expert in the products you support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for converting sales into revenue by implementing pipeline of authorized agreements using available resources to maximize revenue cycle of Source Medical.
2. Manages and coordinates internal and external resources required for implementation. This includes implementation managers, trainers, outside vendors and any other Source Medical resources necessary. Ensures internal resources communicate effectively and complete tasks on time. This is measured by the utilization of project management skills via the correcting of any potential milestone deficiencies and escalating issues outside span of control while maintaining effective relationships with the customer and internal groups.
3. Creates best practices and standard formats to develop an effective implementation project plan for each client. This is measured by departmental ability to conduct a needs analysis with the customer, develop a comprehensive project plan and work with the customer and internal groups to coordinate and secure resources necessary to meet each customer?s unique specifications.
4. Creates systems and develops team capable of actively managing multiple implementation project plans simultaneously, communicating with and working the customer and internal teams to adjust to real time changes caused by changes in implementation schedule. This is measured by team ability to coordinate efforts with peer groups and adhere to overall implementation milestones. Assists team members of the Implementation and Training Team as necessary with issues warranting advanced experience and skills.
5. Manages expectations of clients, sales team, and internal customers via personal communication and weekly project status reporting.
6. Creates system and develops team capable of managing a seamless transition from project completion to active client support. This is measured by the team?s ability to effectively communicate and prepare peers in client support team to service each customer?s individual needs.
7. Manages department of implementation managers, specialists, developers, and business analysts. Consistently measures and evaluates employees based on established goals and objectives for individual positions. Meets with employees to provide direct feedback and guidance.
8. Creates reports to show key performance indicators and develops action plans to address deficiencies and enhance strengths.
9. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Qualifications:
--BA/BS degree, plus 5-10 years experience in product implementation and/or customer service.
--Software implementation and Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
--MBA is a plus.
--Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a software implementation environment. Preference is in an external client facing situation and not just internal projects.
--Proven ability to drive concurrent, medium sized, technical projects.
--Ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
--Broad knowledge of available tools, technologies, processes, and best practices in software implementation.
--Proven ability to develop, coach and motivate a team.
--Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to reporting accuracy.
--Effective interpersonal skills (presentation, written and oral) and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff levels.
--Experience in the configuration of servers and other hardware necessary for the delivery of software applications and maintenance of databases may be necessary depending on product line served.
--Advanced computer/technical skills, including experience with configuring wireless networks, VPN, and complete Microsoft Office suite.
--Superior customer service orientation.
--Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
--Travel is negligible but will be required from time to time to visit key clients.
