Director of Information Technology SeaMobile
GENERAL PURPOSE: Establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the Information Technology department. Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Directs all aspects of Information Technology management and control, including management of Information Technology employees.
? Responsible for the smooth operations of core infrastructure services (Systems, Storage, Infrastructure, Networks and Office Telecommunications.
? Responsible for budget preparation and management in this functional area.
? Makes recommendations for technical acquisitions of software or services on-premise or in the Cloud.
? Evaluates Software vendors and solutions.
? Develops guidelines, standards and procedures.
? Creates and enforces processes within department.
? Responsible for projects and programs within functional area; may include more than one functional area.
? Responsible for career development of direct reports.
? Responsible for performance of team in meeting overall objectives; also responsible for individual performance of team members.
? Other duties/responsibilities as may be assigned.
NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: Reports directly to the VP of Information Technology. Interacts with company clients and vendors and with internal company resources. Directs and supervises IT staff.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
? BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
? A minimum of 10 years IT or related experience required.
? 5 year management experience required.
? Experience with managing one or more Outsourcing vendors.
? Strong technical and process expertise in the areas of Helpdesk, Desktop, Datacenter, Network, Virus Protection, etc.
? Solid project management, advanced decision making and problem solving skills required.
? This position may require US Security clearance up to TS/SCI. The candidate must also meet suitability standards that must be reviewed on a case by case basis to include but not limited to: Foreign National relationships, criminal and credit history and other events which may require mitigation for attaining additional clearances.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: Moderate travel may be required. Extensive Computer use. May be required to carry a paging device 24/7.
