The IT Director is responsible for the global information technology strategic, tactical, and operational plans and their execution in support of Overture?s business. These plans include leading the IT team in designing, configuring, implementing, maintaining, and securing internal and external local and wide area networks, servers, desktops, telephony infrastructure, and other related systems. This position is responsible for leading, hiring, mentoring, developing, and retaining a highly efficient, effective, and sought out IT team. In addition, the position drives IT value with the implementation of standards and processes to improve efficiencies, increase performance, improve system availability and reduce total cost of IT ownership. Minimum of 10 years hands on experience as the IT Director/Manager leading global IT in a high tech environment
Duties:
Minimum of 10 years hands on experience as the IT Director/Manager leading global IT in a high tech environment
Experience working with off-shore resources
Experienced in leading IT best practices with cutting edge technologies, including cloud based technologies
Proven experiences with innovative technical contributions, process improvement, policy creation/implementation, and global disaster recovery plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to translate user needs into system requirements and project tasks
Ability to build relationships with internal staff and outside vendors; works well with a team and independently
Continuous improvement of infrastructure operations with a focus on security, service, efficiency and cost
Expert level network and system administration knowledge: design, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Experience with ERP system management: end-user support, database management, and security. Overture?s ERP solution is Syspro.
Expertise required in enterprise level infrastructure, operations, local and wide area networks, server technologies, client/server, thin client, virus protection, email, backup/disaster recovery, security management, services procurement and provisioning network monitoring tools and advanced storage technologies
Database Administration: Administration and maintenance of databases and database hosting environments
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Management of Information Systems; Advanced degree is a plus
Direct experience in Windows (XP, Win7, Server 200x), Macintosh OS, Linux (Fedora, RHEL), Active Directory Cisco, Dell, EMC, VMware, MySQL, SQL Server 200x
