Director of International Tax Seven Seas Water
Position Description and RequirementsWith Seven Seas Water Corporation as its operations hub in Tampa, Florida, the Seven Seas Water Group builds, owns and operates water desalination and waste water treatment plants. It currently has operations throughout the Caribbean and has recently expanded its scope of business development to aggressively pursue opportunities in South America, North America, central Asia (India) and the Middle East. Seven Seas Water is a leader in its market and is privately-held by blue chip private equity investors, the management team and employees.
We are seeking an experienced Director of International Tax who will assume broad leadership of the global tax function while working closely with our CFO, Executive team, and other domestic and international advisors, to manage global tax strategy and compliance while supporting expansion efforts in new geographies, including potential mergers and acquisitions.
? Play a key role in the design and execution of international tax planning for existing geographies as well as in new tax jurisdictions.
? In concert with counsel and senior tax advisors, play a lead role in structuring the business for optimal tax efficiency and cash deployment.
? Develop and implement transfer pricing methodologies and supporting documentation in accordance with best practices and international tax laws.
? Support our analysis of new business proposals by providing counsel on expected tax impacts on cash flows.
? Support tax due diligence and deal structure on M&A opportunities.
? Negotiate, maintain and monitor subsidiary capital structures to optimize tax efficiency of funds repatriation.
? Coordinate tax compliance and local tax planning with our other outsourced tax advisors in multiple international tax jurisdictions.
? Assist with the annual and quarterly income tax accounting in accordance with GAAP.
? Review capital structures to ensure compliance with local capitalization requirements.
? Develop tax processes and controls in accordance with best practices and Sarbanes Oxley

? Strong international tax technical skills and related experience especially as related to tax structuring and transfer pricing.

? Strong implementation skills that can turn planning into reality.
? Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to supervise and work with team members and remote providers of outsourced solutions including tax service providers.

Education and Experience
This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of closely related experience. An advanced college degree with a heavy academic focus on accounting, finance and taxation are required. Big firm tax experience is essential and related private industry experience is preferred.
