The Director of IT is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at Market Force. This includes managing all infrastructure, internal systems and desktop support for internal customers and production systems serving our external customers. This position is also responsible for working closely with the product development team to innovate by delivering turnkey infrastructure systems and broadly enabling Market Force?s global workforce.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage company networking, production software, operating systems, hardware and security best practices
Manage corporate workstations, email, and productivity tools
Securely enable offshore resources and outsourced functions
Create and evangelize healthy system use, access, build and deployment processes
Maintain network administration (LAN/WAN/TELCO)
Maintain a company-wide CAPEX Infrastructure budget
Responsible for data center management including all hardware/software
Handle contract negotiations where applicable for infrastructure
Maintain cost effective vendor relationships
Manage and mentor the systems administration team
Manage and maintain core facilities infrastructure (i.e. A/C, electrical, cubes, office moves etc.)
Take responsibility for leading integration efforts surrounding acquisitions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experience (I.T. related)
10+ years experience in IT management
Must have demonstrable experience in process and people management that exhibit improvements in overall performance and customer care
Must have a strong understanding of ticketing systems to prioritize and manage workload
Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft products and information systems development
Must be able to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively
Strong analysis and customer service skills required
Directly supervises the systems administration team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
