Essential Job Description:
Provide direction and leadership to IT Operations staff, including hiring, development, training, mentoring and developing metrics.
Effectively implement and manage appropriate IT Governance processes that result in effective controls and a high degree of IT business alignment.
Interact with the Executive Leadership team to facilitate IT project portfolio prioritization and IT business alignment; coordinate resource allocation for projects.
Facilitate IT Steering Committee meetings.
Regularly meet with executive leadership and key business managers to identify business pain points that can be addressed through technology.
Assess business technology risks and developing mitigation plans.
Understand security and data access controls practices and recommend, maintain and enforce an acceptable security policy.
Manage the IT Operations portion of annual capital / operations budgets.
Set policy for maintenance / backup schedules to avoid conflict with key business processing.
Ensure thorough documentation of infrastructure including systems, applications, backup / maintenance schedules, and contract expirations.
Negotiate and maintain contracts for network services, software licensing, and maintenance.
Work with Finance / Legal to ensure management of software compliance, fixed assets, and retention policies.
Develop SAP architecture (technical and process views) and prepare and facilitate presentations to the Line 6 Executive team to support executive decision making involving SAP.
Create an assessment of the effectiveness of Line 6?s usage of SAP and recommend improvements as necessary; articulate business case and ROI for new SAP projects.
Manage BASIS administration, including maintenance, transports, authorization management, system refreshes, updates & upgrades.
Experience/Qualifications:
10+ years of recent work experience working in at least a medium sized corporate environment installing, monitoring and troubleshooting servers and applications running in a multi-tier environment.
4+ years of recent experience leading an IT organization in a medium sized company.
Bachelor's degree from four-year university (Business degree preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience leading a SAP ECC implementation for a midsized company that involved heavy use of both the financials and supply chain functionality in a multi-location, multi-entity structure.
Working knowledge of the overall SAP ECC architecture and key components, environments, transports, access rights.
Previous experience performing or directing BASIS administration activities is a plus.
Familiarity with SAP BOBJ Business Intelligence tool.
Experience with and general understanding of enterprise backup systems (i.e.NetBackup, CommVault, other) and knowledge of the principles of system backups, availability, scheduling, server capacity, and performance.
Experience interacting with and presenting to key business managers at the executive level.
Experience with IT vendor management and contract negotiation.
Knowledge of support for MS Exchange 2007 or higher in a corporate environment.
Experience with VMware vSphere 4.x or higher environment.
Must be aware of Windows server technologies in the areas of Active Directory architecture, TCP/IP, DNS, Windows system and program installation, compilation and configuration, system-level security procedures, and knowledge of services such as DNS, SMTP, DHCP, mail, web, printing and FTP service.
Project Management skills and have experience managing IT related projects.
Skills Required:
Demonstrated leadership skills and management of multi-member IT teams.
Strong communication skills.
Strong grasp of business and technical architectures and how to depict and communicate to Executive Management
Understanding of collaboration and communications tools such as Go-To Meeting and Jive, Video conferencing, Instant Messaging, Enterprise Social Media Management Systems (SMMS) such as Seesmic and Awareness Networks.
Understanding and experience implementing full cycle ecommerce solutions with integration to SAP.
Financial business case documentation and ROI analysis is a plus.
General knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (server and client), server hardware, TCP/IP networks, including Wi-Fi, Radius, VPN, IPSec, NFS, iSCSI.
Knowledge of key business processes especially in the supply chain area.
