Director of IT Flurry

Flurry is seeking a hands-on Director of IT to develop, manage, and improve the global IT infrastructure in support of our rapid growth and alignment with business objectives. The Director of IT will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing policies and procedures required to ensure full IT compliance with SOX 404 and all other laws, regulations, and SEC requirements in anticipation of Flurry?s IPO. This strategic position will manage IT at multiple locations, will report to the VP of Engineering, and will lead a full-time staff in addition to a variety of external contractors and vendors. The ideal candidate has significant experience in IT and project management.
Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the global IT infrastructure including telecommunications, networking, physical infrastructure, server, active directory, messaging, audio visual, conference rooms, and circuits at multiple locations.
Strategically aligns IT capabilities with corporate objectives.
Manages and mentors the IT team.
Develops and implements IT policies and procedures in compliance with SOX 404 regulations.
Applies broad understanding of complex IT infrastructure components ? e.g., networks, platforms, and operating systems.
Directs the development and management of the IT budget.
Requirements
Experience with corporate relocations, ensuring seamless IT transitions.
2+ years? experience as an IT manager or director.
Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
Experience working for public companies and managing SOX 404 compliance.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Excellent communication skills in a team-oriented workplace.
Hands-on experience architecting, implementing, and managing IT infrastructures:
o Physical Infrastructure: IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) and data-center space planning, server racks, HVAC (cooling), electrical, UPS, fire suppression, structured cable (fiber and copper), and security architecture.
o Telecommunications: VoIP, voicemail, videoconferencing, faxing, phone and data circuits, collaboration solutions (WebEx, MeetingPlace, etc.), Blackberry, and iPhones.
o Networking: LAN, WAN (MPLS, METO-ETH, Site-to-Site), WLAN, firewalls, routers, and switches.
o Server: Active Directory, UNIX, Linux, DHCP, DNS, share-drives, backup solutions, and virtualization (VMWare).
o Audio Visual: Conference room and boardroom construction, room automation, projectors and TVs, and in-table cable distribution.
Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; Master's a plus.
