Vitrue, the leading social marketing platform, is looking for a Director of Marketing, effective immediately. The Director of Marketing will oversee the development, implementation and coordination of all marketing plans across multiple marketing channels including digital, print and social channels as well as ensure brand strategy is consistent. He/she will touch all of Vitrue?s key marketing channels with a core focus on furthering the Vitrue brand position across digital, promotions and social. This person will be the primary marketing lead for the annual planning process, creative and paid media agencies, internal creative services, budget management and business results from marketing plans. Responsibilities including paid media buying and results, marketing communications and branding, product launches, digital and social web property development, sales support and team management.
The Director of Marketing will report directly to the VP of Marketing, working closely to ensure all communications are strategic, on-brand and consistent across the company. He/she will also work closely with sales and client partnership executives for pre- and post-sales support materials development. This person will also liaison closely w/ the product organization to coordinate and communicate new features or new product launches.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the brand custodian for Vitrue including furthering the understanding of the brand position, personality and unique selling proposition throughout marketing materials and externally facing sales, service and product materials.
Actively generate awareness and leads through a well-defined marketing plan that utilizes creative ideas supporting of the brand.
Implement marketing analytics for brand and leads to assess marketing effectiveness (tracking, web analytics, lead nurturing/scoring, et al) to improve media buying, placement and promotions.
Oversee creative and paid media agencies.
Work closely with VP of marketing and entire marketing department to ensure consistent marketing communications (with a focus on creative, digital and social properties).
Lead and manage a team to support sales, client partnerships and product. Deliverables would include, for example, case studies, sales presentations, life cycle communications by client segment, pre- and post-product launch communications).
Manage budget and resources to achieve business objectives; interact w/ finance to track expenses, set up accruals, et al.
Requirements:
10-15 years of marketing communications/branding/digital experience, preferably in technology and start-up environments.
Strong understanding of the social media/technology space from a marketing point of view.
Must have experience managing/overseeing agencies.
Must have experience in managing and developing teams; working collaboratively and cross functionally.
Strong writing, analytical and problem solving skills.
Comfortable speaking in public is a plus.
Proven track record of developing marketing plans to achieve business objectives.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to work ?off hours?.
Must be able to travel on occasion to meet w/ agency partners, attend B2B events.
Bachelor?s Degree required; MBA preferred.
