What Problems Would I Solve?
Working within the Solutions team, the Director of Marketing will drive growth and revenue targets across channels by delivering a compelling marketing communication and acquisition strategy. To do so, this commercially minded individual will create marketing infrastructure including PR, collateral, customer communications and customer events, as well as orchestrate participation in trade events. This Director of Marketing will utilize their deep understanding of market conditions to identify target customers and create segmented propositions for our Solutions team to acquire customers. Specifically, this person will own the following responsibilities:
Market company products and services effectively to targeted B2B segments
Identify and manage participation in top industry event opportunities for exhibiting and promotion
Develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the Leadership team
Manage all aspects of campaigns to promote thought leadership, company news and developments as well as sales and promotional opportunities
Oversee and maximize ROI for Marketing Support Systems and CRM systems, including database management, lead generation and sales analysis
Achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media
Oversee website and social media channels for consistent, meaningful and tactful campaign execution
Who Would I Work With? Who Would I Work For?
The Director of Marketing will report to leadership within the organization. He/ She will collaborate with and work effectively across several departments, including the Solutions, Finance and Leadership teams. This Marketing Director will build relationships externally as well, and ultimately this individual will oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
When will I start? What will I make?
Ideal candidates will be local (based in Chicago) and have availability to start a new full time position in the next 3-6 weeks. The interview process should take no more than 2-4 weeks from initial phone interview to offer letter. Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree
Approximately 7-10 years of strategic and operational marketing experience, driving growth in a B2B environment
Experience in Information Services, Software Solutions or Business Service industries preferred
Background in customer lifecycle, including online relationship management is a plus
Exceptional business acumen and understanding of how to apply customer insight to shape strategy
Experience partnering with a sales organization
Strategic thinking with experience framing and solving complex problems
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple small to large projects, influence others and make sound decisions
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the talent to tell a story concisely
Is intelligent and passionate about what they do
Is friendly and likeable. We wouldn?t hire someone we wouldn?t like to sit next to on a plane for 12 hours.
