Director of Marketing Communications and Content Xactly

You are a big thinking, tech savvy director who will help build Xactly?s brand, market awareness and demand gen. A marketing strategist with a healthy skepticism of traditional marketing mores, you are a leader who's looking to build Xactly?s awareness in a way everyone can easily understand the importance of incentive compensation. You want to have an impact and make a difference. In this leadership role you will be working very closely with the CEO and report directly to the CMO.
What You Will Be Doing?
As Director of Communication and Content you will be responsible for specifically developing and leading Xactly?s content, creative, communications, media, PR and analyst strategies. With a team of 5 great people, you will also be responsible to execute and deliver on these strategies.
Including the following specifics:
Develop and execute overall coordinated, enterprise-wide corporate communications strategy, internally and externally. Plan and direct corporate messaging strategy designed to promote and enhance Xactly?s business strategy and brand.
Create and drive major, break-through public relations campaigns, leveraging PR agencies, serving as the primary point of contact with key media members. Lead worldwide media/public relations to achieve high-visibility, positive presence of Xactly in top tier, industry media.
Oversee industry analyst relations efforts, such as Gartner, Ventana Research, Forester, Aberdeen, etc., and to ensure the analysts dully understand Xactly?s vision, strategies and plans.
Create and deploy Xactly?s messaging and content strategies through content generation, writing, editing, and presentation in a voice consistent with core company values, culture and strategy.
Develop and implement integrated strategic communications plans to advance the corporate brand identity and raise awareness.
Develop and execute on Xactly?s creative strategies, with an emphasis on the Xactly brand look and feel.
Work very closely with Xactly?s CEO and CMO
Who you are?
Background. You have 10+ years in communications, and media and/or related marketing experience in the software or high tech industry. You have been at a scaling, high-growth company and know what that looks and feels like.
Communicator. You have experience managing communications to multiple complex stakeholder groups at a local, regional, national and international scale.
Content. You have a gift with the written word and the ability to frame content not with corporate speak and acronyms, but in words that real people can understand and appreciate.
Creative. You are a creative, strategic thinker who can take initiative to drive new value for Xactly?s market awareness.
Culture. You are in alignment with, and fully support our Xactly C.A.R.E. core values.
Education. You have a Bachelor?s degree in business, marketing or equivalent work experience. A MBA is not necessarily preferred.
