The Marketing Director?s position is directly responsible for developing strategic and tactical programs that will result in increased ad sales. Director will assist EVP and SVP on internal initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will interact with external customers (advertisers, agencies) and translate the needs of the target brand into ?sellable? and ?executable? programs that generate revenue for SM. Responsibilities will also encompass marketing program development and execution, product and sales training, advertising and lead generation, as well as hiring and management of marketing personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
?Plan, manage, and implement digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
?Communicate account activity, update supervisors on status of RFPs, proposals and relevant information to our business, share learnings, information, opportunities and developments with team members that will result in improved productivity for the team.
?Must develop strong relationships across the organization and with various internal teams, including engineering, business development, research, product, sales, research analytic and senior management.
?Work with product managers and senior management to formulate and implement comprehensive corporate marketing/product training programs for sales teams.
?Accompany Account Executives to client meetings, present custom marketing programs, demonstrate customer service ability.
?Recommend department operational procedures to improve ad sales customer service efficiency.
?Responsible for developing appropriate opportunities based upon revenue goals, client objectives, and client assets available.
?Establish clear goals (KPIs) for all campaign executions; Design, measure and report on campaign KPI?s.
?Oversee development and completion of corporate advertising/marketing projects; Determine when projects or issues need to be escalated.
?Act as an ambassador on behalf of ad sales to interface with senior executives, clients, and vendors.
?Engage client dialogue and effectively describe customized marketing solutions; will participate in senior level client agency calls.
?Recruit and supervise copyrighters, freelance designers, and various agencies as needed to achieve project deadlines and budgets and determine appropriate parties to be included in the development and approval process.
?Assist with generating and tracking the marketing department budget.
?Design sales and presentation materials, including PowerPoint decks, brochures and other marketing collateral; as well as create collateral for all division within the company.
?Promote the Specific Media brand and product story throughout both digital and offline channels.
?Serve as an internal specialist for market and product information.
?Aid in the coordination of conferences, as well as speaking engagements.

?Knowledge of online and offline marketing
?Strong organizational skills and the ability to see priorities and drive decisions
?Flexible and adaptable with a collaborative work style

?Solid presentation skills
?Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
?Experience using CRM such as Salesforce.com
Education and/or Experience:
?Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
?Minimum eight years? experience to encompass above responsibilities
?Previous advertising experience, including search, display, video, and TV advertising
