Who We Want:
The Director of Marketing Operations leads the marketing operations function in a b-to-b organization. The function is responsible for marketing-related reporting and analytics; process building/refinement; planning and budgeting (in conjunction with marketing leadership); marketing technology selection, implementation, governance and roadmap development; data management, best practices syndication and marketing skills development. The candidate we are targeting will have to understand the dynamics of a high growth environment and will have some technology industry experience and a sincere interest in Bazaarvoice, and the social media and social commerce industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, develop and deliver marketing measurement approach
Construct key marketing reporting mechanisms, including dashboards and reports
Ongoing analytics delivery to provide marketing and sales with insights for better decision making
Marketing technology infrastructure ownership (project management and implementation, governance and roadmap development), including collaboration with IT, sales and other functions as needed
Marketing data ownership/management, as well as alignment with relevant BV data initiatives
Marketing process leadership, working in conjunction with impacted marketing and sales functions
Oversight of marketing planning and budgeting process
Creation/management of initiatives to gather/disseminate internal and external marketing best practices
Development of a marketing professional development/training plan by function, working in conjunction with leaders of those functions
Internal ?consultant? to marketing leadership team
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
Experience Necessary for the Role:
Five to 10 years of marketing experience, ideally in operations roles
Experience in sales or finance is desirable
Demand creation/field marketing experience is desirable
Marketing reporting and dashboard development, analysis and delivery, including using data from MAP, SFA, Web analytics and finance
Lead management process creation, delivery and monitoring
Experience with measurement/dashboard creation in non-U.S. markets
BA or BS required / MBA preferred
Skills Necessary for the Role:
People management, including the ability to build a new team/function and work with diverse skill sets
Ability to navigate and influence multiple functions (including those outside of marketing)
Ability to translate business objectives to technical requirements
Ability to translate business objectives to marketing goals and measurements
Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to audience needs
Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations
