Summary of Role
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical communications plans (traditional, electronic and new media) designed to generate top-of-funnel awareness and a strong market position. Our Director of Marketing will build a marketing strategy that will rapidly grow the awareness of and demand for Puppet Labs' solutions through creative narratives, campaigns, and experiences for our end-users such that they eagerly engage with us, and with each other, and pull themselves down the funnel over time. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally creative, resourceful, and have impeccable communication and leadership skills.
Generate rapid, organic online traffic growth at the very top of the funnel driven by strong word-of-mouth amongst our end-users.
Position the brand as recognizable and trusted by our target market for consistently delighting users with innovative, user-centric content and solutions.
Promote brand awareness and an impression of Puppet Labs that is much bigger than our actual size.
Conceptualize broad and deep authentic content that engages our end-users such that they're self-driven to spend more time getting to know Puppet Labs and our solutions.
Represent Puppet Labs as the leader in IT automation in the mind of industry influencers through clear, measurable, differentiated positioning.
Ensure that the sales team and our internal champions have the tools they need to close.
Develop and nurture a marketing organization that is a learning machine, balancing creativity and efficiency in rapid iterations of high-quality experiments.
