We currently have an opportunity available for a Director of Marketing. Initial responsibilities will include driving outbound marketing activities worldwide, which comprise: positioning and branding, editorial and analyst relations, lead generation, partner/channel marketing, corporate website, trade shows and events. In addition, the Director of Marketing will work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Client Soutions to improve loyalty, contribute to the product roadmap, and support sales targets.
UTOPY is an entrepreneurial company in the rapidly growing Speech Analytics market. We are looking for somebody who is intimately familiar with the contact center world and its supporting technology. You will drive our strategic marketing efforts, be the voice of the company to analysts and media, and support our new and existing sales. You should be a demonstrated leader, not just a manager, prepared to wear many hats in the execution of both strategic and tactical marketing efforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop marketing strategy
Supervise and contribute to collateral creation
Act as spokesperson for the company with press, analysts and at industry events
Define and lead the marketing communication programs including corporate and analyst relations
Work with sales to support partner and channel joint marketing strategies and programs.
Manage all PR efforts including drafting press releases
Oversee online marketing including Google ads, website analytics, and CMS
Identify opportunities for thought leadership including speaking engagements, publications, and corporate blog
Evaluate various marketing channels including SEO, SEM, email marketing, tradeshows, white papers, etc and determine the highest ROI channels and the lowest cost per lead.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Proven success launching new innovative software products or technologies
A track record developing marketing programs with quantifiable objectives & results
7 years marketing experience in an Enterprise Software focused company with a minimum of 3 years in a management position.
Experience at contact center related technology companies such as WFO, CRM, CTI, VoIP, BI, or speech recognition-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Energetic, ambitious, and a team player
Excellent organization skills, attention to details, and analytical thinker
Experience with CRM systems ideally Salesforce.com
Tech savvy person able to communicate the fundamentals of speech technology and enterprise analytics
Startup experience preferred
MBA (from top school, preferable)
