Director of Marketing diaDexus
The Director of Marketing will provide leadership and coordination of company marketing and customer service functions. Develop and implement marketing strategy and plans. Monitor and analyze results of marketing activity against goals and administer corrective actions where necessary. This position is also responsible for defining marketing strategy and plans for achieving market share and profit objectives.
Essential Functions
Direct and coordinate companys marketing strategy and plans.
Direct and oversee the company marketing function to identify and develop new customers (laboratories and physicians) and to expand payer coverage for
Lp-PLA2 testing.
Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development.
Develop and execute ongoing mechanisms through market research and competitive intelligence to understand how physicians, payers and patients use and benefit from Lp-PLA2 testing .
Actively participate as a key member of a team chartered with the evaluation , design and execution of clinical studies to support/enhance product positioning
Develop and manage marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
Plan and coordinate marketing communications efforts (i.e. tradeshows, public relations and marketing outreach) to create broad customer awareness of the benefits of Lp-PLA2.
Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
