Director of Medical Affairs diaDexus

The Director of Medical Affairs (Dir. of Med Aff) leads the Medical Affairs team within the diaDexus organization. A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a senior MSL role is required for consideration for this position. The Dir. of Med Aff creates formal networks with key opinion leaders (KOLs) , decision makers and guideline writers that influence position papers, guidelines and major trials in cardiovascular medicine. The Dir. of Med Aff is visionary in their approach to both science and business, creating networks and a strong presence of the diaDexus products and mission within the clinical and academic community. This is completed through the initiation, development and completion of research projects and other projects of mutual interest to key accounts and academic institutions and diaDexus, Inc. The data from these research projects are then disseminated through publications, national meetings, CME and educational activities.

The role of the Dir. of Med Aff position also includes the support of commercial operations, marketing and managed care; serving to disseminate the science related to diaDexus products through written material and oral presentations to external customers.

Education/Experience Required:

Advanced degree in a scientific field of study (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or academic equivalent.
Clinical expertise or related experience in cardiovascular medicine.
Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Minimum 5 years prior experience as a senior MSL.
Experience working with experts in the field of cardiology, endocrinology and neurology at academic medical centers.
