What We're Looking For:
The person we hire will share our passion for transforming how education is delivered. The Director of Operations serves as the primary liaison for all matters related to workflow, processes and systems integration.

is comfortable both in the academic world and in a fast-growing private company
will be comfortable operating independently in a remote office
will also be comfortable communicating regularly with the larger team based in the Maryland office
This is a client-facing role that requires being able to balance multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail that is second to none.
Responsibilities:
Manage and create workflow, processes and documentation between systems and groups
Manage integration of and updates to 2U and University systems (such as Salesforce, PeopleSoft, the applications system, etc.)
Manage cross-functional communications to ensure alignment between 2U and University Partner teams
Create and manage project plans which involves:
o Leading cross-functional requirements gathering for IT and development
o Prioritizing development requests and escalating as required to senior management
o Maintaining the project roadmap
o Working across departments to provide visibility into project timelines and dependencies
o Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with the team
o Setting and continually managing and communicating project expectations with team members
o Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path
o Tracking project milestones and deliverables
o Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
o Identifying and troubleshooting problem areas
o Proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises and devising contingency plans
o Conducting project post mortems and creating recommendation reports
Act as liaison between 2U and University Partner technology teams
Perform data analysis and compilation for tracking and reporting purposes
Handle additional operational and administrative tasks as needed
Things That Should Be In Your Background
Bachelor?s degree required
5+ years experience in an operations or project management role
Strong project management skills essential
Technical background highly preferred
Proven track record of managing technical projects within budget
Strong analytical, particularly quantitative skills
Excellent computer skills (MS Project, MS Visio, MS Office inclusive of Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Focused on achieving defined results, and exceeding goals and objectives
Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
Familiarity with data science
