This role is focused on the multiple areas covering Avalaras Partner Program, included, but not limited to the following critical areas of success:
CHANNEL DEVELOPMENT ? Analytics (market analysis, coverage gaps, penetration rates), Partner recruiting, Partner onboarding, Partner Education/Skill Development (sales, consulting and marketing)
CHANNEL MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS ? Electronic marketing solution for partners, general co-marketing assets i.e. whitepapers, sales guides, campaign content, product sheets, battle cards, rate sheets, etc., campaign-specific assets, messages and communications, newsletters, Event Support, (seminars, webinars, tradeshows), Blogs, Forums
CHANNEL PROGRAM & OPERATIONS ? Tier management, Awards and recognition, Loyalty program, Partner Portal/Dashboard, Performance management, (MDF) management
SALES/LEAD MANAGEMENT ? Leads, opportunities and Sales, Pricing, Sales Operations
EDUCATION & SUPPORT ? Training/Avalara U., Demo Product Requests, on-demand training, Training Events Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong experience in designing, building and implementing channel partner programs, both at the strategic and tactical level.
Deep knowledge of partner recruitment and enablement, with demonstrated strength in developing productive partner marketing relationships.
Thorough understanding of channel behavior including communication and incentives to drive and optimize partners performance.
A roll up your sleeves attitude and execution to effectively function as an individual contributor, while also capable of building and managing a team, and working across the organization with sales and marketing teams to align with company growth and revenue goals.
A solid background in managing performance through strict KPI metrics and ROI monitoring, including revenue targets against performance for go to partners, partner-driven and partner fulfilled revenue by business line, program uptake and engagement levels.
Experience and Skills:
At least 15 years Channel and Partner Programs experience.
Previous responsibility as Director/VP in channel sales and/or channel marketing role.
Extensive experience working with channel partners, managing and motivating partner organizations toward achieving consistently high performance.
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong relationships with national and global channel partner organizations including in-depth relationships with key ERP, e-Commerce/Mobile commerce and enterprise solution.
Strong understanding of business applications and SaaS solutions.
Business/Technology Undergraduate Degree; MBA a plus.
