Description: The Director, Process & Business Improvement is responsible for identifying, recommending, prioritizing, and managing the evaluation of process and for leading implementations of process and system enhancements for SSI. This position has specialized technical and industry knowledge and thought leadership to all SSI decision-making efforts. This position will identify current and future business needs and design process and system improvements to capitalize on business opportunities and value-added opportunities, while mitigating operational risks.
Overall Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to deliver additional value to SSI clients through analysis of current processes and procedures at client sites, and through understanding of clients needs.
Identify and design process and system improvements to capitalize on business opportunities while mitigating operational risks.
Generate strategic ideas for process and systems improvements working with Operations, Sales and Implementation teams to improve overall performance.
Support internal process partners and external vendors with expertise in collaborative planning by acting as central point of contact for business critical processes. Identify which areas and systems are needed, partner with IT, and upon implementation, communicate outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
Lead major process and systems enhancement implementation projects. Provide leadership and direction to information technology team supporting inventory management systems.
Ensure all implemented solutions are successfully transitioned to new processes and systems through effective change management and documentation.
Design process and systems to support SSI for new business ventures.
Plan cross department and divisional groups for improving overall SSI metrics.
Job Qualifications:
This position requires deep knowledge of MRO, integrated supply and inventory management.
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field.
Understanding of and experience with ISO 9000:2000, LEAN Manufacturing, OEM and Re-engineering
SIX SIGMA Black Belt or better
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; project software a plus.
Ability to lead large scale systems and process implementations including training and change management processes
Strong organization and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel 50-75% nation-wide
