Director of Product and Content Marketing Activate Networks
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED As Director of Product and Content Marketing, you will be responsible for the outbound and inbound marketing activities for
Activate Networks? products. You will craft the messaging and positioning for products. You'll conceive and develop innovative
marketing programs that drive demand, leadgen, and sales. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp
and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. In your role you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy, and their
buying criteria, and you will transfer that knowledge and the leads that are generated to the sales channel.
? Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
? Sales enablement ? communicate the value proposition of the products (individually and altogether) to the sales team, and
develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products; develop sales enablement kits for partners. Such
kits may contain, for example, brochures, presentations, FAQ sheets, agreements, print media ads, and digital and inbound
marketing materials. Assist with training of sales team and partners.
? Product launch ? plan the launch of new products and releases, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the
? Market intelligence ? be the expert on our buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria; be the expert on our
competition and how to beat them. Apply this intelligence to our marketing and sales materials and training.
? Demand generation ? develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for our products.
? Content creation ? manage a calendar of content that will educate, inform, entertain, and motivate prospects and
customers; this requires strong writing skills of your own, and the ability to edit and manage other writers, and produce
effective, attractive, and inspiring text and graphic content for sales generation and branding.
? Provide direction and oversight to company marketing agency.
? Produce marketing events, such as sales education meetings, webinars, user group meetings, and company annual summit.
? Plan and complete projects with a focus on timeliness, cost considerations, and successful leadgen and sales results.
? 5+ years of successful software product marketing and / or product management experience with at least 2 years of
experience in a field-facing role
? Bachelor?s in business or marketing preferred
? Very strong written and oral communication skills
? Willing to travel 25%
? Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, and cross-functional teams, customers and
prospects, and third parties.
? Fluency in social media / inbound marketing, marketing automation software, sales automation software, and major
productivity suites such as Office, Adobe, Google, Yammer, Skype, and DropBox.
? High level of enthusiasm and commitment to mastering changing marketing landscape, and to bringing and implementing
