ShareThis is currently searching for a seasoned senior product manager to drive the growth and wide scale adoption of our powerful social advertising platform. This role is essential to expanding the range of services we provide our advertisers and publishers, and it is also crucial to our continued success in achieving and exceeding our aggressive business objectives. Our ideal candidate will exhibit significant hands-on product management experience, business savvy, and a solid understanding of the technologies that fuel online ad serving.
As the director of product management for our advertising platform, you will report to the VP of product in Palo Alto and be responsible for development of a set of world-class ad products powered by our proprietary social audience data. You will guide platform development through all stages of the product lifecycle, from identification of customer needs through launch and support, working closely with a cross-organizational team of rockstars in engineering, ad operations, publisher services, sales and marketing. You will be responsible for building and driving the platform feature roadmap, working closely with senior management to support achievement of company business objectives.

Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and prioritize the feature roadmap for our social advertising platform, with the goal of improving operational effectiveness and driving substantial revenue growth.
Based on the platform feature roadmap, translate business needs and requirements into design concepts and functional specs, and work closely with our design, development, operations and QA teams to realize successful product releases.
Serve as the resident expert on the current and evolving automated media buying ecosystem, including DSPs, DMPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, and the like.
Work with the VP of product and other executive team members to help set product development priorities for the company.
Manage project schedules and dependencies, and drive cross-functional initiatives.
Keep track of the competitive landscape in the rapidly changing social media and advertising arena, and identify key issues impacting our product pipeline.
Requirements:
5 years of direct product management experience, working hand-in-hand with engineering teams
Minimum of a B.S. in software engineering, MBA preferred
Prior experience hiring and managing a team of product managers
Deep technical knowledge of online ad serving
Proven experience with DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, data exchanges, and other players in the online ad industry landscape
Familiarity with working in an agile software development environment
Established track record of preparing MRDs and FSDs
Self-starter with prior start-up experience and the interest, ability and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
Proven expertise in managing aggressive and dynamic projects with competing resources and priorities; firm sense of accountability and ownership across the entire product lifecycle, with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development, and launch
Passion for conceiving, designing, building, and shipping amazing products that work great the first time out the door
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Sharp sense of humor, including the ability to laugh at yourself
