Director Of Product Management Myxer
We are seeking a Director of Product Management to drive the evolution of Myxer?s Social Entertainment (MSE) platform, which spans all of our ad-supported entertainment destinations across the web, mobile web, and mobile app platforms. The ideal candidate will have the right mix of technical understanding, keen business insight, and high-level strategic thinking to lead and manage MSE throughout its life cycle as a core part of the company?s strategy, and in close collaboration with all other departments within the company.Job Responsibilities
Be the primary point of contact for all aspects of the platform. Possess a detailed understanding of the overall market, the competition, our market position and value proposition. Own responsibility for establishing and maintaining MSE requirements, features and enhancements necessary to drive mass customer adoption consistent with the company?s strategic direction.
Drive and maintain the strategic MSE roadmap, balancing input from Marketing, Sales, and Engineering while maintaining deliverable commitments.
Maintain a complete and updated understanding of key competitors, their products and services, strategies, tactics, value propositions, performance, and impact on Myxer?s strategic direction.
Own communication for updates and evolution of MSE to press, analysts, customers as well as all departments in the organization.
Lead a virtual products group in defining and adhering to MSE success metrics. Own collection and analysis of all key metrics, and regularly deliver KPI updates and proactive product response plans to senior management.
Develop processes for quickly and effectively gathering customer feedback to ensure constant improvements to key metrics.
Drive coordination of cross-functional project teams to ensure all product launch activities are successfully completed against committed deadlines.
Requirements
5-10 years of experience as a successful product manager, preferably for a consumer-facing, internet company.
Extremely passionate about bringing great consumer products to market, with a natural ability to balance ?tactical customer feedback? with Myxer?s strategic direction.
Well-versed in the internet music service landscape or the ability to quickly ramp up. Must constantly stay aware of competitive landscape with respect to consumer product features and business models of key players in the space, and serve as a knowledge resource to the rest of the company
Broad familiarity with all aspects of the software development and release process, including requirements gathering, concepts and specifications, UX design and use case documentation, packaging, and lifecycle management.
Ability to drive the product process forward in the face of competing interests and ambiguous business challenges is a must.
Experience delivering products for mobile platforms preferred.
Enthusiastic, committed, can-do attitude.
Must be focused on execution above all else. Strategic thinking is required but plans alone are not enough ? you must ensure that great products are delivered on time, consistently.
