Director of Product Management, Cloud & Applications Aerohive Networks
Aerohive is hiring a Director of Product Management to define cloud and application strategy for Aerohive. The ideal candidate will take ownership of Aerohive cloud applications and drive successful delivery and sales of Aerohive?s cloud platform. The candidate must be versed in application development, delivery of web services, product management, and people management. This position will report to the VP of Product Management.
Job Description
As the Cloud PM Director an individual must own the entire lifecycle of Aerohive?s cloud infrastructure, features and capabilities:
Establish and gain consensus around a platform vision
Develop the business case for new products and features and propose them to senior management
Manage the application development team.
Work with engineering to meet requirements and, when needed, trade off products features, cost and timing
Work with corporate marketing to establish launch messaging, build launch plans and write collateral
Train and support the sales team and sales engineers in beta program and key opportunities
Responsibilities
Drive product strategy and roadmap by defining requirements for Aerohive?s cloud platform, applications and billing systems
Create product positioning and pricing (when necessary)
Drive real-world customer requirements into the QA process by assisting with the design and construction of test beds that are able to perform automated real-world tests.
Manage a team of product managers.
Support strategic customer opportunities.
Become a subject matter expert in the owned features and products.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Collected product feedback from customers, resellers, partners and analysts and distilled that feedback into engineering requirements
Driven the business case analysis for new products and features
A firm understanding of the enterprise IT market for network equipment
Managed a team of Product Managers
Demonstrated expertise in databases, application development, and web services.
Experience in product management at Cloud services or SaaS vendor.
Understanding of WiFi and TCP/IP networking a plus but not required
