Director of Product Management Kosmix

The Team:

The Kosmix product management team is responsible for guiding a cross-functional team of designers and engineers to define the strategic direction, target users, product requirements, and development timelines of our products. They are responsible for determining product priorities and guiding the team through the design and development process. At Kosmix, we have the opportunity to define a new paradigm for how users benefit from the vast information on the web. Our systems scour the web for the best and most up-to-date information users are seeking and collect that information to create a dynamic web page for users to enjoy. The product management team works with the design and engineering teams to define and create the experience that delights users and sets Kosmix apart from the competition.



The Opportunity:

- We are looking for an experienced product management professional to lead the Kosmix team in defining, designing and launching a new consumer-focused product. This position reports to the VP of Product Management
- You will lead a cross functional team including design, engineering and an additional product managers to build the flagship product for Kosmix
- As the leader of core consumer-facing product, you will work closely with the executive team to define the initial product concept
- You will explore opportunities to introduce new distribution channels to the Kosmix product and evaluate which have the greatest potential
- You will be responsible for defining the team priorities and roadmap and make key decisions to ensure an on-time and high-quality launch
- Leading the project includes keeping the rest of Kosmix updated on product definition as well as development progress
- As the Director of Product Management, you will serve as a mentor for other members of the product management team and define tasks and goals for the team

The Desired Skill-set:

- 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager in the online space
- Proven track record leading a consumer internet product from initial concept to successful launch
- Passion for building consumer products that enable users to benefit from technology in life-changing ways
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership skills working with cross-functional teams including design and engineering
- Ability to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced, iterative design and development environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to keep the project on track
- Bachelors degree.
