Director of Product Marketing
The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for TradeCard's portfolio of offerings. You will craft the messaging and positioning for all products marketed and sold in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. In your role as Director of Product Marketing you will be the expert in customer-mind set, how they buy and their buying criteria. You must transfer that knowledge to the sales channel. Your domain knowledge and experience, combined with your product marketing skills, will help TradeCard influence and fully engage with our target markets - senior financial, operations, supply chain, logistics and IT professionals at mid-sized and large enterprises worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates TradeCard's supply chain collaboration and transaction solutions in the marketplace
Sales ennoblement - develop, refine, package and communicate the value proposition, and corresponding proof points, of the product to the sales team (and future channel partners)
Product launch - plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
Market intelligence - be the expert on TradeCard's target customers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to differentiate against them in the market
Product evangelism - become one of the key spokespeople for TradeCard and its products, leading speaking engagements at trade shows, conferences, and other industry forums; TradeCard-hosted events, such as seminars/Weimar, client events, etc.; and social media channels, such as bogs.
Demand generation - collaborate with the global product teams to translate the product strategy and roadmap to drive market programs that generate demand for TradeCard's solutions in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific
Industry analyst relations - build relationships with key industry analysts and position the company with compelling advantages versus the competition
Partner ecosystem - define, develop and manage the ecosystem of market influencers (e.g., thought leaders, experts, complementary service and solution providers, analysts, etc.) to drive go-to-market leverage in the marketplace
Reports to: SVP, Global Marketing
Work location: Lower Manhattan - Wall Street District
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in product marketing and/or product management and a minimum of 12 years of cumulative professional experience.
Strong track record of creating and executing product and market strategies for a high value-added technology solution; experience with Saabs/cloud computing solutions strongly preferred
Experience with financial, supply chain, logistics and/or trade management solutions strongly preferred
Track record of successfully putting products on the map through marketing, branding and positioning
Written and oral communication skills with success in shaping industry perception and driving market awareness through direct and indirect communications channels
Action-oriented leadership style; ability to take the lead in making contacts and building collaborative relationships both outside and within the company
Excellent relationship and negotiation skills with internal as well as external stakeholders
High energy, execution focused with the ability to get out and make things happen.
Entrepreneurial; willing to work in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment where the willingness to "roll-up your sleeves" is essential
Resourceful; can find ways to do more with less; hands-on and highly accessible
