We are growing our team with innovators who will aggressively lead the industry in extending traditional encryption data protection techniques into the virtualized and cloud network. As a Director for the Product Marketing of the Data Encryption and Control products at SafeNet, you will play a key role in defining messaging, go to market strategies and creating collateral for introducing next generation security techniques to our customers as well as deliver innovative field and channel enablement.
Successful leaders in this role will have a track record of effectively selling strategic value similar to ours into highly sophisticated enterprise and federal clients and partners, as well as marketing technical products and solutions like ours globally to solve key business initiatives. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of industry and technology trends in datacenter, cloud infrastructure, and specific knowledge of enterprise security and virtualization buying cycles are a very strong plus.
Strong candidates will show understanding and ability to research the key industry trends, market drivers, vertical regulations and compliance, and competitive landscape. A collaborative and influential style, ready to work with key stakeholders in sales, channel, field marketing and product management to position existing products and define and develop new areas of business opportunity is a must. You will act as the spokesperson for your products.
You will manage a small and very experienced team as well as influence many organizations that will be looking to you for guidance. Must have experience in managing the work efforts of individual contributors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance management, etc.
Your team?s product marketing responsibilities will include SafeNet ProtectV, SafeNet StorageSecure, SafeNet KeySecure, SafeNet DataSecure and other related encryption security products.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in marketing or science/engineering
MBA in marketing a plus
Experience:
12+ years of product or marketing experience with at least 4 years experience in a field facing role
Minimum 5 years of management leadership experience.
Marketing Skills:
Very strong written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to synthesize data into actionable recommendations
Advance leadership skills and the ability to influence those at all levels of organization to drive results
Ability to work autonomously and in a self-directed manner and manage multiple ongoing projects
Ability to present findings in a clear, structured manner appropriate for intended audience
Flexible, ability to perform in unstructured or ambiguous situations, and adapt as business evolves
Experience in launching new products / entering new markets
Blogging, tweeting, use of social media
Alliance or partner marketing with larger companies like Amazon, VMware, NetApp
Favorable, Relevant Marketing or Technology Experience Areas:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Market analysis ? evaluate industry structure and trends, including market landscape, vertical regulations and compliance, and competitive benchmarking, market entry or expansion strategies
Market definition ? collaborate with across product marketing to drive the strategic vision and positioning of our product, directing product marketing and field marketing teams in the mobilization of these messages in all materials and communications
Go to market strategy ? work closely with Sr. Dir of product marketing, global programs, business development, alliance partners, sales management to define and manage global and regional go to market strategies for product launches and acceleration programs.
Demand creation ? develop the strategy and manage the marketing/lead generation programs and activities that promote and drive demand for our products in the field
Collateral creation ? This is a hands-on Dir/Individual contributor role. The expectation is for the individual to create collateral and present content, directly drive programs.
Analyst and press relations ? Co-develop analyst and press plans to support designated products, and serve as a key point of contact in day to day activities
Provide leadership and coaching ? You will be managing less senior product marketing managers who will be looking to you for guidance, inspiration and expertise.
Vendor management ? Consultant writers and other vendors may be utilized across products
