We are currently seeking a Director Product Marketing - Rich Media
The position is ideally staffed out of our Sunnyvale office - however, remote geographies will be considered for exceptional candidates.
Job Summary:
This position will be individual contributors in the DataDirect Networks, Inc. (DDN) Marketing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the promotion and messaging around DDN's industry-leading storage technologies for line of business applications which drive content creation, storage and delivery. This role will report into the VP of Marketing and leverage the larger marketing organization as a services organization, and will be responsible for the creation and delivery of collateral and positioning as well as go-to-market tools for product and vertical marketing initiatives. The successful candidates will be a self-starter who acutely understands vertical solutions marketing within DDN's high-growth rich media and professional media business (focusing on Television Broadcast, Film Production and Animation, Digital Intermediate, Content Delivery and Media Archiving).
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Product marketing content creation for specific DDN platforms, including:
Core product feature/benefit messaging
Competitive positioning
Application-specific product benefits
Integration within a customer and partner ecosystem
Examples include solutions briefs, case studies, white papers, customer presentations
Oversee the content and ensure the frequency of demand generation initiatives
Participate in outreach programs such as webinars, local events, etc
Manage award submission and participation programs for key conferences & events
Participate in and create content for sales training
Qualifications for this role are:
Strong understanding of storage infrastructure and content-intensive applications
Knowledge of ancillary products and concepts such as servers, networking, virtualization, NAND, cloud
Understanding of customer and user trends and practices
Strong familiarity with the professional media marketplace, including application providers and integrators
Strong familiarity with the competitive storage landscape and competitive offerings and product trends
5+ years of relevant storage industry experience in roles associated with technical product marketing and/or sales
Experience in high growth sales and marketing organizations and a working manager attitude
Professional marketing skills including understanding how to develop positioning and messaging
Some travel will be required
