We are currently seeking a Director of Product Marketing who will be responsible for product marketing strategy and implementation across our rapidly growing consumer platform. He/she is an expert in shepherding new products from creative concept to household name. This means he/she has experience owning a product from the marketing requirements document to the go-to-market plan, to championing the product across multiple channels including broadcast, print, partners, interactive media and other creative channels. He/she will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications and will work closely with cross-functional teams and agency resources to define and execute products and campaigns that build awareness and drive engagement. WHAT YOU?LL DO:
New Product Development and Launch (70%)
Create, manage, coordinate and execute all consumer product marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed organizational expectations.
Be an expert at MRDs that define a collaborative, successful process with the product engineering team.
Develop unique value propositions that increase our marketing partnerships and branded impressions.
Build unique and creative campaigns that acquire key customers, build brand awareness and drive repeat visits.
Lead and manage Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Cross Business Unit Marketing, Advertising, Analytics and Lead Generation.
Analyze, evaluate, and measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs for Return on Investment and Return on Mission. Iterate as necessary.
Interactive and Channel Marketing (20%)
Manage integrated strategic marketing across all interactive channels including email, banner, partners, social, and blog.
Partner with internal stakeholders to define and execute an affiliate and partner marketing strategy that is efficient and grows brand awareness.
Team Leadership (10%)
Manage marketing team and outside resources.
Work closely with business development to uncover new and better partner marketing opportunities
WHAT WE NEED TO SEE ON YOUR RESUME (REALLY!):
10-15 years marketing experience in comparable industries with at least 4 years in a management position.
Must have previous experience in working with Media and/or Publishing Organizations.
The ability to plan and manage at both strategic and tactical levels
Experience with consumer technology products.
A proven track record of previous success in a marketing capacity.
Entrepreneurial spirit.
MBA degree is desired.
