This is an exciting and rewarding position in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment within the digital color graphic printing industry located in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We are looking for an ambitious Director of Product Marketing whom we can offer an excellent career path along with a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience. Travel required including some global (30%).
Responsibilities Include:
Accelerate promotion and adoption of new technologies, specifically the Direct to Textile market
Support sales grown from within the existing product portfolio
Developing and implementing all aspects of the marketing plan ? globally
Marcom preparation, sales training, defining value proposition, branding and brand awareness
Market and customer segmentation, product positioning, pricing, promotional activities & campaigns
Strategic market assessments and competitive analysis
Definition of macro-trends
Developing networks with industry partners
Experience and Skills:
A graduate/post-graduate degree in Imaging, Ink Jet Technology or a scientific discipline combined with a second degree in Marketing and/or MBA.
A minimum 5 years marketing experience in the field of ink jet printing, with considerable exposure to the specifics of ink jet printing to textile.
An established professional network in the field of IJ printing to textile.
A proven record in the industry for creating exposure and brand awareness.
International business experience gained within the ink jet industry is a core requirement. Familiarity with different business cultures and B-2-B organizations is considered essential.
Excellent communications skills ? demonstrated through means such as authoring articles in the trade press; presenting at trade shows/seminars.
Rapid assimilation and comprehension of core product ranges, their attributes and developing value propositions from performance and competitive data.
Familiarity with current IJ Head technologies and leading contenders for textile printing.
Knowledge of RIP software and color management for printing to textiles is preferred
Extensive knowledge of the end markets for digitally printed fabrics and the market criteria for each.
Knowledge of various digital printers e.g. MS, Mimaki, Roland, Mutoh, and Reggianni is helpful as is an awareness of the positioning of the various print head technologies available to these platforms.
This position requires approximately 30% travel, primarily in the Americas, but also Europe.
Initiative. This position is for a self-starter requiring minimal management oversight and the ability to drive the marketing plan to implementation.
In-depth knowledge of strategic marketing and tactical marketing (4Ps).
Detailed knowledge of Industrial Digital Printing markets with Digital Textile knowledge a clear advantage.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with digital workflows.
People management, ability to delegate, mentor and contribute as a valued team-member.
