Director of Product, Mobile Platform and Games Kongregate
Kongregate is expanding our #1 core gaming network to the mobile platform! As the mobile Director of Product, you lead product management for our mobile games portfolio and for our mobile platform. You will coordinate with our game and production teams to qualify and then optimize games created by external developers. You will develop and drive the roadmap for the Kongregate game network, a platform for independent mobile developers, and create the world?s biggest and best core gaming network.
The ideal candidate is a free-to-play mobile game guru, with expert knowledge of mobile game design, product and platform best practices. This candidate is comfortable with all aspects of product management, from deep product analytics and platform design, through roadmap feature management and user acquisition best practices.
Responsibilities:
Critically analyze prospective games and provide funding recommendations by building game deconstructs and predictive business models
Research and evangelize free-to-play platform, product and design best practices, working with our production team to ensure these features and systems are included across upcoming and live portfolio titles
Own the feature roadmap for the Kongregate mobile platform
Create feature specifications, designs and documentation
Direct user acquisition and marketing efforts to drive title and platform growth and retention
Champion analytical and metrics-driven best practices and procedures
Help define team objectives, strategy and processes for maximizing business results
Recruit, lead and mentor a rockstar mobile product management team
Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience developing and operating free-to-play mobile games
Deeply analytical, metrics-driven individual
Practical knowledge of user acquisition techniques for mobile platforms
Curious and competitive nature with an innate desire to discover and maximize free-to-play product, design and platform best practices
Experience leading and mentoring a team of product managers
Strong understanding of mobile game platforms, mobile game design best practices and product methodologies and roadmapping
Strong Excel skills; comfort with SQL a definite plus
Quantitative Bachelor?s degree recommended (Engineering, Math, Economics, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passion for the mobile games business
This job will be based in our San Francisco headquarters. There is some flexibility on the level/title depending on candidate experience.
