Director of Product Arkadium
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Arkadium, a top game development studio based in NYC developing casual, mobile, social and Windows 8 games, is looking for the Director of Product for our line of Casual Games. Director of Product will guide products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting and tailoring our solutions to all the casual markets where Arkadium does business.
This is an opportunity to step in and lead the company through its next evolution, leverage its 12 year history and achieve its goal of becoming the #1 game developer in the world. We want you on our team and believe that to be successful you?ll need to demonstrate expertise in the following key areas:
Define the vision and drive the go to market strategy for Arkadium Arena product, inclusive of the Flash and HTML5 game content.
Partner with the Business Development and Account Management teams to mutually determine priorities for new feature enhancement priorities.
Work with development team leads to manage product features roadmap in order to support vision and deliver against agreed upon plan and targets.
Oversee all financial aspects of the products you manage: provide budgetary oversight and manage your games? P/L.
At the end of the day ensure a delivery of successful products on time and on budget
Drive product requirements from market vision to execution, working closely with the development teams, producers and account managers. Ensure that all products are developed according to agreed upon specifications.
Enable development teams to build products that will thrive on the Casual platforms, meeting and exceeding financial and quality goals. Take a hands on approach when necessary to ensure that teams have the right know-how to develop financially sound games from the start.
Collaborate with marketing and production teams on the creation of unique brand identity and product positioning, helping our games stand out in a competitive marketplace.
Stay on top of the changing demands of the market and ensure that each product released on the Casual platform is leveraging the best in class strategies and monetization techniques.
Collaborate with game producers and marketing to provide data driven features and business model recommendations leading up to launch to optimize the revenue and engagement potential of the games.
With the help of the marketing team, develop ongoing media planning to insure acquisition dollars spent are driving most qualified players into game in the most efficient and effective ways.
You have 5+ years of product management experience in casual games behind your belt.
You are a trend-watcher with a finger firmly on the pulse of the Casual gaming space. You have an innate ability to recognize opportunity and capitalize on it by prioritizing product roadmap and feature releases. You are not stuck on what worked last year and are always leveraging best in class monetization techniques and trends. You always know our top three competitors and have a solid plan to stay ahead of the game.
You are a natural leader. You?ve got big-picture vision, yet still have firm command of the operational details that will turn that vision into reality.
You have excellent communication skills. You will be working with cross functional teams and many stakeholders. It is important that you are able to clearly communicate your vision and secure buy-in.
You are resourceful. You are never hindered by a setback; you quickly refocus your efforts and come up with a viable alternative solution, staying focused on the end result.
