The Director of Professional Services provides leadership and direction to the Professional Services Profit and Loss Organization. This position ensures Service offerings conform to the organization?s strategic direction while providing effective leadership on best practices of project management. Profitability and margins must be maintained. The Director of Professional services is expeted to partner with internal departments such as Sales and Marketing to promote company services while keeping abreast on the changing market place.
Requirements:
Project Management
Define project management practices within the group to ensure effective and efficient use of human resources.
Define, identify and implement a project management system that will give visibility, traceability, budget tracking and documentation management.
Provide visibility into the aforementioned system to the Executive team through a dashboard for use in business planning.
Work with the SaaS development team to enable customer tracking of project timelines and documentation to partners or end-users.
Track performance against the project plans and provide attention to adherence of execution.
Business Development
Responsible for defining service offerings that are an enabler for CradlePoint product sales and an accelerator for product deployment.
Define tools that widen our competitive advantage, whether internally developed or externally sourced.
Continually look for industry best practices and innovative means of delivering professional services.
Profit and Loss
Responsible for overall profitability and margin goals for all Professional Service offerings.
Ensure comprehensive accounting practices are applied to all facets; from order, to procurement and invoicing to collection.
Response for department budgeting and COGS.
Human Resource planning and execution to ensure acceptable levels of resources are available for service level goals, continually maximizing efficiencies.
Sales & Marketing
Work with Marketing to promote Professional Services to the channel and partner programs.
Work in conjunction with Field Sales Organization teams to promote, present and customize offerings to client specific needs.
Maintain primary responsibility for product definition, collateral content and gaining wide acceptance of the messaging.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
Proven track record of effective project management skills and principals.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer support.
Basic understanding of networking protocol hardware and software and/or mobile networking support.
Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
Education:
Bachelor?s degree or at least 10 years of experience in managing projects, vendors and personnel.
PMP or PgMP certifications are a plus.
