Description:
The Director of Project Management will be an active member of the Clinical Development team. This position will have multiple responsibilities for directing projects and managing the logistics of the oncology development for project core teams and sub-teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
? Creating and managing aggressive timelines for projects and communicating timelines to core team members and Senior Management.
? Directing all activities, including capabilities, for project planning, budget management and timelines (GANTT charts) for non-clinical, clinical development plans, regulatory filings and NDA approval.
? Independently setting agendas and facilitating high performing team meetings and be able to provide quality scientific and strategic input.
? Participating with clinical, regulatory and translational medicine activities.
? Partnering with other functions (i.e. Clinical, Regulatory, Research, CMC, Diagnostics, Pharm/Tox, Finance, Legal/Contracts, etc).
? Contributing with the advancement of Ambit?s pipeline projects to IND filing and beyond.
? Supporting the development of Target Product Profiles and Go/No Go success criteria.
? Managing relationships with collaborative partners that have co-development agreements with Ambit.
Job Requirements:
? Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline. Advanced degree highly preferred.
? Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry of which the past four (4) years have been in a senior level position in Project Management. Oncology experience highly desired.
? Strong project management experience in drug development ranging from late pre-clinical to NDA and/or BLA approval.
? Demonstrated managerial, organizational, and leadership skills in an entrepreneurial environment.
? Experience with alliance management for development-stage programs.
? Proven ability to build, transform and motivate a cross-functional team.
? Demonstrated scientific and technical skills.
? Ability to solicit input on drug development plans from major stakeholders to achieve alignment.
? Proven success in business process/system development, influence management, collaboration and change management.
? Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
