Director of SaaS / Cloud Operations

The Director of SaaS / Cloud Operations will have the opportunity to own the strategic plan for deploying & supporting the SaaS infrastructure for Renew OnDemand, ServiceSource?s native cloud solution built specifically to maximize recurring revenue. This application arms sales teams, executives, and channel partners with a complete system to renew customer contracts and subscriptions. The Director of SaaS / Cloud Operations will concentrate on the implementation & maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions, including cloud administration, servers, storage, middleware, non-application software, networks, and the physical facilities that support the application. They will also own cloud monitoring, deployment, maintenance & provisioning tools while ensuring performance, availability and scalability of the cloud infrastructure. In this role, the successful candidate will live in our Amazon AWS Cloud services, Linux, node.js & MongoDB stack. This is a working leader opportunity where the successful candidate must be able to perform at a high level both strategically & technically.
Successful candidate will possess the following
Experience setting strategy & allocating resources in support of Cloud based software solutions
Proven ability to identify & implement best in class SaaS Infrastructure solutions
Demonstrated track record of developing stable, reliable environments that ensure performance & up-time
An agnostic view towards Cloud technologies with the ability to recommend best in class solutions
10+ years of real-world experience with Linux based operating systems (RedHat and/or Debian-based distributions).
Expert understanding of networking / distributed computing environments.
10+ years experience supporting high-traffic, public-facing production environments.
Experience with large-scale SaaS / cloud deployments. Preferably with AWS, Rackspace, Joyent, Eucalyptus, OpenStack, and/or OpenNebula,
Comfortable deploying and supporting the following services & protocols. (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, SSH, LDAP, SSL, NTP, DHCP, UDP, TCP, SMB, SNMP)
In-depth experience deploying and configuring monitoring and trending software and services (Zenoss, Cacti, Nagios, Munin, CloudKick, etc).
Ability to program in administrative languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, shell).
Practical experience deploying and maintaining configuration management systems (Puppet, Chef, cfengine, etc).
An understanding of relational and NoSQL database systems (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, CouchDB, or Cassandra).
Keen troubleshooting skills.
The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Superior organization skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize your team?s workload and shift attention with changing priorities
