About the Director of SAAS Operations Position:
As a key member of the Granicus Operations Management Team, the Director of SaaS Operations will be responsible for the overall management and P&L of our nationwide data center operations as well as the management of the company's IT infrastructure. This person will oversee the hosting of our application environment both physical and virtual, and will need to have experience in infrastructure engineering, technology implementation, project management, capacity planning and scaling, and financial management. Overall the goal of the Director of SaaS Operations will be to oversee the sustainability, and growth of our hosting IT environments as within the direction of the business. This position will report to the VP of Operations
Director of SAAS Operations Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a scalable and profitable data center model for a SaaS-enabled, Managed Service that supports a growing base of multi-national government enterprises.
Manage the data center operations and IT teams for U.S. and Canada operations, increasing the productivity and performance of each.
Own profit and loss responsibility for data center operations, enabling the company to meet and exceed margin goals.
Determine proper methods of scaling hosted datacenters through research, design and alignment with product direction.
Develop and maintain SLAs, metrics, and reporting trends. Maintain and improve system uptime and performance benchmarks that strengthen company direction and growth.
Design and maintain corporate IT infrastructure that supports scalability in a growing multi office start up environment.
Collaborate with Product Development and Product Management to enhance product value, and increase the speed of deployments with the overall goal of 100% customer satisfaction.
Work closely with Services Management to optimize on premises deployments as it relates to IT and hosted environments. Assist in collaborating on tools development to improve client specific implementations.
Work in a consultative fashion to the sales organization for proposal responses that involve technical requirements for client solutions.
Act as a point of escalation for datacenter and IT related issues.
Work closely with our hosting and IT vendors to ensure quality and team goals are met.
Ensure all team members develop deep product and data center expertise that enables them to serve as trusted domain experts.
Develop and own an internal process to facilitate on boarding, training, and ongoing development for all team members.

Desired Experience for the Director of SAAS Operations Position:
5-10 years of experience in senior level management of data center operations in a multi-site/co-location hosted environments.
Experience in SaaS deployment model as well as a strong knowledge in Cloud Computing.
5+ years in high-level design, architectural reviews, and implementations of diverse technology stacks.
Experience developing and managing cost-effective, scalable, SAS 70 or SSAE 16 compliant data centers.
Experience building corporate infrastructures that accommodate multi location and communication environments.
Ability to develop a 24/7 response team to ensure the highest level of datacenter uptime.
Proven track record of success in building capable and scalable teams both on the corporate as well as the datacenter side.
Experience developing world class process to procedures to ensure optimal team as well as cross team workflow.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
