Position Purpose:
The Director of Sales will be responsible for selling the Aventura solution and services into hospitals and large ambulatory practices. Using a coordinated sales approach with Aventura?s Inside Sales and Sales Engineers, the Director of Sales will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with key customer roles in order to initiate and help progress opportunities with these prospects.
The Director of Sales needs to be able to manage a complex sales process and position our solution at multiple levels within the customer organization across various departments including ? clinicians, IT, and hospital administration. Successful candidates should have knowledge and experience selling software or other technology to both clinicians and IT, and should have a strong technical aptitude. In addition, candidates should be inspired and motivated to work for a fast growing start-up with a unique market solution that addresses existing critical clinical workflow problems.
Aventura?s sales organization is a new customer acquisition environment of a cutting edge technology being sold into an emerging market to a risk averse audience. Aventura?s sales roles are best suited for sales people with a proven track record of missionary selling where strong industry-technical knowledge is coupled with consultative selling and large account management expertise.
Position Description:
Responsible for selling the complete Aventura enterprise software and services directly to target healthcare accounts
Become as intimate as possible with accounts and bridge the gap to executives and other key decision makers and influencers while increasing Aventura mindshare
Solidify existing customer accounts and elevate Aventura to a more strategic position within all accounts
Manage complex enterprise sales process including a potentially diverse set of partners within the same accounts
Match the Aventura solution to the customer?s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
Support channel partners in their sales efforts ? as required
Responsibility to move the transaction through the entire sales cycle
Travel estimated at above 50%
Skills Required:
8+ years of direct sales experience of enterprise software, preferably with some experience with an early stage company where brand recognition and entrenched, well known competitors are prevalent
Experience within the Healthcare industry and knowledge of the different roles within a hospital setting is a strong plus
Technical aptitude must be high; experience with desktop virtualization infrastructures, Citrix, and/or VMware a strong plus
Proven track record of success selling in a highly competitive and emerging markets
Track record of managing complex sales with strategic selling and large account management expertise
A history of driving revenue results against a quote and an expectation that income and job performance will hinge on those quantifiable revenue results
Personal Competencies:

Ability to work with all levels of individuals within client organization
Proven track record of quota over-achievement
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
Dynamic presenter with the ability to translate technical thoughts to everyday language for diverse customer audiences
Experience and Education:
BA/BS degree or higher
Minimum of 5 years experience in related software industry
