Director of Sales, Named / Strategic Account Cloudmark

Objective of Position
This person's primary responsibility will be to drive Cloudmark relationship, existing and new business for one or more Tier 1 Operator Customers / Prospects. This role would be key sales role on the team and be responsible for setting the sales strategy, leading account engagement, and directing the internal organizations in support of growing Cloudmark?s wireless and wireline solution sales with Customer.
This role requires an experience, seasoned, knowledgeable, strategic sales leader with skills on in-depth needs analysis, customized presentations, demonstrations, and delivery of written proposals to support carrier?s needs. Candidate must be a self-starter, a collaborator and synthesizer; excellent communication and teamwork/leading skills; can work effectively with executive management, customers, various company departments and individual contributors. Candidate must also demonstrate full knowledge of the accounts, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which requires multitasking and efficient time management. Will be required to initiate and participate in both strategic and conceptual discussions, as well as address detailed/tactical activities.
Develop and execute sales strategies to profitably grow software and services revenue plan
Lead sales negotiations with customers and partner with internal organizations to obtain required approvals. Ensure sales deals are closed that deliver the expected P& L results
Manage customer relationships on multiple levels with key stakeholders in the Customer?s corporate organizations
Exercise profit/loss authority for sales orders. Ensure business terms support cash collection targets
Provide sales leadership to internal teams throughout the sales process. Ensure key project and customer requirements are understood and addressed
Provide sales input in support of the growth planning process
Manage sales funnel and forecasts including internal CRM (Salesforce) systems
Lead contract negotiations with customers
Oversee interactions with the customer including sales, project management, support, and operations to drive customer satisfaction
Prior Sales experience and minimum of 15 years of consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation with Tier 1 carriers
Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process
Excellent ability to communicate messaging security solutions towards the customer
Strong understanding of the security market place
Previous experience in a customer-facing organization selling or delivering services to operators
Must be able to develop a strong working relationship with CSO, Messaging and Network organizations
Proactive actions and thinking
Ability to identify, purse and close new sales
Business acumen and financial skills
Strong communication skills to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages
Willingness and ability to travel within your specified geographic region
Demonstrated ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization

Working knowledge of Messaging (SMS and MMS) and E-mail/Messaging systems
Focused on critical thought processes (?outside the box? thinking): creative, imaginative, and curious
Market awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the telecommunications industry
Proposal preparation experience
Project Sales experience
Bachelor?s Degree Required; MBA or Advanced Degree Preferred (but not required)
Minimum 10 years direct sales or customer facing experience
Experience in Consultative Sales; Must have an understanding of current business operator business environment
Must possess strong understanding of wireless technologies.
Demonstrated sales and business development expertise to develop and deliver complex telecommunications business solutions.
Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills.
Team player. Must be able to work in a matrix management structure.
Travel (indicate percentage and type)
This position will involve up to 50% travel.
