The Director of Sales is responsible for individual sales efforts of Connecture?s emerging Private Exchange product line for brokers. This product line provides a technology platform to enable brokers to present a multi-carrier online shopping and enrollment for actives and their dependents, early retirees and retirees who are Medicare eligible. It automates all lines of business, including health, dental, group life, vision, and other ancillary products.
The Director of Sales will be expected meet or exceed a quota of $2 million in new sales and services contracts. This position requires solid experience and understanding of large complex software sales, sales operations, complex contracts negotiations, and people management at the senior manager level or higher. Frequent travel between the Connecture offices as well as current and potential clients will be expected. The ideal candidate will be based out of Atlanta, GA, Brookfield, WI, Los Angeles, CA, or located proximate to these locations or a major airport.
Roles and Responsibilities
?Attainment of corporate sales and revenue goals
?Generate leads organically through the industry broker network
?Successfully manage their sales pipeline
?Work with business development team to optimize lead generation efforts and targeting key accounts
?Manage sales engineering resources on specific opportunities
?Work with Client Services, Product Development and Technology teams to ensure complete customer satisfaction with the product and organization
?Assist with market, competitor, and industry trends research to support corporate and sales goal attainment
?Identify, maintain, and developing senior client executive relationships
?Assist with identification of additional business needs and sales opportunities among current client base
?Develop value propositions and ROI for new and follow-on sales
?Relationships with the Health Insurance Broker Community and a thorough understanding of their needs in this evolving marketplace.
?Ability to organize, articulate and execute a sales plan to new clients.
?5+ years experience selling complex software implementation projects ($1 mil +) required
?Experience managing complex sales cycles, contracts negotiations, business plans, and proposals
?Ability to assist with prospecting and developing large account strategies
?Excellent consultative/analytical selling skills
?Excellent presentation skills
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills
?Enthusiastic, self motivator, able to multi-task
?Ability to relate effectively, assertively, and comfortably with C-level executives
?Available for heavy travel (50%+)
?Experience selling software to Health Care or Insurance organizations is a plus
Minimum BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
