Director of Sales (Programmers, Cable TV, Satellite & Telco Video operators / providers)

The role: Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Director of Sales plays a vital and visible role in fostering new account opportunities by informing potential clients (Predominantly television programmers, but also, cable/satellite and IPTV operators) of Clearleap?s capabilities, identifying needs and closing sales. The Director of Sales determines how to effectively engage key decision makers through networking, lead generation campaigns, and proactively initiating communications using a variety of channels.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Promote and sell Clearleap solutions to new target accounts (Predominately Television Programmers but also cable/satellite and IPTV operators)
Leverage network of senior level executive relationships to secure new business
Expand Clearleap?s revenue and footprint within each account
Work jointly with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Affiliate Sales and Product groups to identify target account?s business problems and frame the right solution
Oversee the development of detailed proposals and statements of work with the support of engineering and product management team members
Lead the negotiation of client contracts
Engage department heads in a way that effectively transitions from sales to execution
Generate and implement strategies for service improvement and growth
Work with Engineering, Marketing and Product groups to incorporate industry concepts into points of view that are relevant to target accounts
Occasionally attend industry trade shows and conferences
Experience / Skills Required:
Advanced understanding of Internet video streaming/distribution technologies and/or digital video solutions in Programming, cable, Telco, IPTV, Satellite and Broadband TV environments
Understanding of Satellite and Terrestrial based delivery methods
Understanding of Programmer/Affiliate business relationships
Understanding of Content Management, IP VOD, online and linear delivery systems
Experience developing and managing executive relationships at large companies
Experience selling complex services solutions to large companies with multiple constituents
Experience selling Hosted or SAS solutions a plus
Proven ability to penetrate new accounts
Senior level contacts in Programming industry
Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
Goal oriented, self-directed and self-motivated within a team environment
