Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Security Operations is responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the enterprise-wide Information Security program to assure that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all network and computer infrastructure, and the information assets therein (whether company or client) are protected at all times.
The Director of Security Operations is a thought leader, a consensus builder, and an integrator of people and processes, and, most importantly an information security and privacy subject matter expert and practitioner. S/he must be able to design and execute strategy while coordinating disparate drivers, constraints and personalities, and maintaining objectivity and balance. The Director of Security Operations should be solutions-oriented and an enabler of the company?s ability to deliver on its overall goals and objectives to the highest degree possible within the company?s information security risk posture.
A successful candidate will be responsible for building an accountable, Information Security-conscious culture and a security infrastructure built on policies and procedures that are compliant with applicable Federal, State, local laws, ordinances, and guidelines. S/he must create and maintain Information Security policies, identify and secure support for initiatives. S/he is a crucial component of on-going enterprise-wide security risk assessments, business system continuity planning, and disaster recovery planning as part of a multifunctional security task force.
S/he will provide both strategic and operational leadership to a multifunctional Information Security Team. The person will create, support, and continuously improve enterprise Information Security technology, policies, practices, and standards; perform vulnerability assessment and penetration testing; perform incident response and security analysis; provides forensic investigation; and assist with internal and external audits.
Most importantly the Director of Security Operations will be instrumental in reinforcing and nurturing our collective corporate culture of security which is a tenet of our product and responsibility to our customers.
?Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to the Information Security team;
?Develops and maintain an effective security organization with appropriate skills, structure, and direction to meet current and future needs;
?Oversee and coordinate security efforts across the company, including information technology, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management and other groups;
?Devise policies, guidelines, procedures, and standards regarding areas such as business continuity planning, loss prevention, fraud prevention, and privacy;
?Works with the business and across Technology to ensure a solid understanding of Information Security requirements, identify current and/or potential security risks and develop, implement and drive security strategies, solutions, methodologies and/or policies to strengthen the effectiveness of the Information Security program;
?Collaborate with leadership to prioritize Information Security initiatives based on business need and cost / benefit / risk analysis;
?Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies;
?Develop emergency procedures and incident responses;
?Perform Information Security risk assessments and serve as an internal auditor for security issues;
?Monitors compliance with Information Security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager.

?Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related fields; or equivalent work experience;
?10+ years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility in the technical fields of Information Security and compliance applications;
?5+ years of demonstrated success, governance, and expertise in implementation of Information Security methodology, concepts, and analysis/monitoring;
?5+ years of leadership experience, including demonstrated success in leading technical teams and delivering technical solutions;
?Broad technical background including enterprise networking, next generation firewalls, log aggregation and correlation, security data analytics, and incident response;
?Experience with regulatory compliance issues such as ISO, PCI, and SOX;
?Strong presentation skills with proven ability to successfully interface with and influence at all levels (executives and technical staff);
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact and diplomacy; effectively delivers technical information to non-technical audiences and vice versa;
?Ability to translate cyber security threats from a technical perspective to business-line understanding;
