The Director of SMB Marketing is responsible for developing and executing Animoto?s B2B marketing strategy. In this evangelical role you will develop go-to-market strategies, execute marketing programs and create partnerships that drive revenue. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business background that enables them to interact productively and compellingly at the VP/C-level. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive and scrappiness is a must.
Create, execute and be held accountable to a comprehensive B2B marketing strategy.
Define the go-to-market strategy for selling into SMBs direct and through channel partners, ideally in a SaaS environment.
Identify key distribution and platform partners that have SMB video creation needs, drive engagement, assist with closing deal and, ultimately, creating a vibrant and profitable partnership.
Drive awareness & conversion of Animoto SMB solution by utilizing marketing tactics like demand generation, nurture campaigns, webinars, educational videos, competitive analysis, and customer case studies.
Drive thought leadership for business customers by creating and promoting content that engages existing and prospective customers.
Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and how to best position products in the market through ongoing testing and iteration.
Work intimately with product, product marketing, marketing and engineering teams to achieve revenue growth metrics.
At least 6 years of relevant experience in B2B or solutions marketing; specific experience with positioning freemium and SaaS products a huge plus.
Former experience developing and executing successful go-to-market plans targeting SMB customers.
Must understand the needs and priorities of SMBs and how they spend their marketing budgets.
Proven success driving revenue and repeat business through partner channels and directly.
Comfort with pressure of the spotlight on revenue production and growth.
Bachelor?s degree minimum, Master?s degree preferred.
