Software Quality Assurance Leader

Would you like to lead the charge in defining the role of QA in our Agile software development process? As a key leader within ServiceSource?s Engineering team this role will engage directly with our Cloud & Data Services Product Teams and will be responsible for shaping and driving the execution of our quality assurance strategy & programs.

Opportunities to Make an Impact
The following outlines the impact and contributions that this role will be able to make within the first 12-18 months:
Assess the current quality approach and process and provide an in-depth gap analysis
Develop and execute a plan that addresses the key gaps in the quality assurance process
Create the standard/protocol for all test plans and approaches: specify test cases; ensure that quality plan and executed test coverage is complete
Lead the QA function in incorporating best-in-breed Agile quality practices in everything we build
Ownership of our test automation strategy.
Work closely with engineering and product teams to review and understand functional requirements, contribute to Iteration and Release planning, and drive QA activities for Cloud Software projects.
Participate in software requirement and implementation design reviews.
Build test automation framework and work with engineers to write automated tests.
Partner with the development team to improve Build and Continuous Integration process and tools. Create a supporting suite of automated tests
Help the team to capture performance data, and drive the analysis and resolution of key quality issues and performance problems impacting design and production
Effectively communicate cross functionally and across department boundaries
Ongoing develop our processes, systems, and best practices to deeply integrate QA methodologies in all of our software projects.
Anticipate & address issues & risks in a timely and detailed manner.
In order to be successful the candidate will need to posses:
Significant QA experience in the Software industry.
5+ years in Cloud Software / SaaS QA with preferably 2+ years in a technical leadership role
2+ years in QA as part of an Agile team
Strong QA process documentation & communication skills
Solid understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle with the ability to help implement and maintain an Agile environment
Background designing and developing a QA configuration and release process.
Must have a solid understanding of modern automated software validation techniques as it applies to automation of web services and systems
Demonstrated knowledge of performance evaluation (identifying benchmarks, developing and executing strategies, collaboration with PM to satisfy business needs, scalability, etc)
Knowledgeable of software development lifecycle tools (source control, defect tracking systems, release management)
Quality Assurance management experience for cloud and web systems, including deployment of front end, database and service changes; ability to manage complex integration testing of web & enterprise software systems
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
Strong technical capacity and ability to learn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent shift in areas of focus.
