WHO YOU ARE
You are a polished and dynamic sales professional with experience selling subscription based services to Marketing, Insights, and Market Research decision makers. You energize prospects with your instinctive ability to uncover pain points and develop spellbinding solutions. You believe in the power of great insights to drive business impact, and can envision almost any client or prospect developing online communities to improve marketing effectiveness, launch new products and reduce risk. You have extensive experience selling to marketing executives of large corporations and a network of senior-level marketers.
You thrive on strategic new business pursuits and will take pride in bringing in new clients to the Communispace roster. You are an exceptional deal maker who can negotiate and close new business opportunities, and you are experienced at uncovering customer needs, qualifying leads, closing business, exceeding revenue targets, and meeting deadlines. You have a stellar reputation, and natural ability to have insightful conversations with senior executives and give compelling presentations to large audiences.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Communispace has created and managed 400+ private online communities for some of the most successful customer-focused organizations in the world. Our communities are designed for companies seeking game-changing insights and made up of a range of members, from busy moms and millennials to high net worth investors and gastroenterologists. Our client list includes companies such as Bank of America, Coca-Cola, FedEx, Nestle, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Macy?s, FedEx and many more. In this role you will be primarily responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities.
In this position, you will:
Develop and target leads in major corporations, specifically within marketing and insights departments of Fortune 500 organizations.
Target prospects, qualify viability of potential accounts, deliver winning presentations, and manage the sales process through to its close, including contract negotiations, legal and procurement discussions.
In partnership with the client service team, identify strategic business priorities and propose innovative solutions.
Have a deep understanding of your clients? business needs and how proprietary online customer communities will address their objectives and deliver significant value.
MUST HAVE SKILLS
Previous business development experience in marketing services and customer insights: you understand corporate hierarchies and client motivations in the space; with this intelligence you?re able to navigate to and influence key decision makers.
A proven consultative, solutions-based approach to selling ? your clients trust you.
You are excited by the power of private online customer communities and the prospect of helping new clients hardwire the voice of the customer into their organizations.
An ability to creatively solve problems and a skilled communicator.
10-15 years of experience in outside sales developing relationships with high-level executives within Fortune 500 organizations (candidates with less experience may be considered for a Manager of Strategic Accounts role).
A BA in Business or related field, MBA is preferred.
