Job Description:
The Director of Technical Operations will have a diverse technology background to work closely with the CTO, collaborating with internal software engineering teams to build and support the company?s SaaS platform, as well as leading a team of engineers responsible for the delivery and growth of the corporate technology infrastructure.
In this role you will partner with development to establish a strong technical vision for the PaySimple SaaS platform while assembling an exemplary team of engineers to drive that next wave of company growth. The position provides an amazing opportunity to build a team and engineering culture focused on state of the art technology and an unwavering commitment to servicing both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have a superior track record of building and supporting both hosted and cloud based solutions in a SaaS context, a broad knowledge of corporate infrastructure such as IP telephony, video conferencing, and the delivery of desktop infrastructure. The role will work side-by-side with both software engineering teams and corporate customers across multiple locations to drive and support our next wave of growth.
Responsibilities:
Establishing a strong Dev Ops culture, focused on collaboration across engineering and the delivery of an innovative SAAS platform
Day to day leadership of the support and engineering teams responsible for corporate and live site infrastructure
Establishing critical operating rhythms for budget & capacity forecasting, change management, and release engineering
Driving operational efficiency while enabling company growth and empowering engineers to get work done
Leveraging the latest technologies and industry trends to enable corporate customers and development teams to be highly effective
Qualifications:
10+ years working with SaaS or large-scale web infrastructure
Experience with multi-tenant application support including data-models, data security, and capacity planning in a highly virtualized environment
Commitment to automation and lights out operating environments
Experience managing and growing highly effective teams
Hands-on experience working with large scale infrastructure in cloud based and hosted models
Strong customer service and focus, ability to provide service to all levels of the organization
Experience with multi-tenant application support including data-models, data security, and capacity planning in a highly virtualized environment
Expertise in Linux/open source platforms, various Linux distros, puppet, yum, etc.
Experience setting enterprise security standards and policies and implementing procedures across the organization
Ability to work under pressure to meet aggressive budget and schedule targets
Strong, effective verbal and written communications with the ability to communicate to all levels of an organization
Broad experience in vendor management (negotiating and managing deliveries)
