Director of Technical Operations klout

You will be responsible for all aspects of data center operations, including designing, building out, upgrading, and maintaining our Linux-based production, staging, and development environments. You will be responsible for growing our production environment to increase its processing and storage capacity, allowing for elasticity and reduced costs. You will automate the management and provisioning of resources, allowing for quick deployments and teardowns. You will manage an existing team of systems engineers. You have the ability to wear multiple hats, being an individual contributor where necessary. You will negotiate contracts, manage vendors, and perform cost reduction.Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable systems that meet our growing needs for secure storage, communication, and processing
Build or select tools to support automated deployments
Perform capacity planning
Implement configuration management solutions for all servers used in staging, development, and production
Define and implement processes for production management (disaster recovery, logging, redundancy)
Define and implement internal security policies
Lead a team of engineers to perform day-to-day management of development, staging, and production environments
Provide availability and performance reporting
Design and implement incident management
Requirements:
BS or MS in Computer Science
4+ years of experience of system administration experience and/or system infrastructure design with Linux-based systems
Deep understanding of hardware and network performance optimization
Strong shell scripting skills
Klout Score of 10 or higher
Pluses:
Experience building redundant services on public clouds like Amazon EC2
Experience deploying and maintaining Hadoop clusters
Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet
Experience with system monitoring tools like Nagios
Experience with data center operations with > 100 servers
