Combined, the sites reach 10.6 million unique users, U.S. Comscore March 2013, and represent the most powerful group of video game buyers available anywhere. This is a unique position for a senior sales person to call on companies like Sony, Nintendo, Activision, Disney Interactive, Square Enix and their agencies to create true partnerships with the market leading brand in video gaming, GameStop.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities-
Develop strategic plans to increase revenue from current advertisers and expand customer base with new advertisers.
Consistently hit the sales goals of a fast growing new media group.
Book sales appointments, make sales presentations, build relationships, close deals and increase revenue.
Effectively and creatively communicate GameStop Media?s value proposition and advertising products to current and prospective advertisers.
Understand client's goals and develop proposals in response to rfps using our suite of advertising products to meet these goals.
Work collaboratively with other major business units throughout the GameStop organization.
A strong grasp of the digital media industry including developing innovative new products and opportunities for advertising partners.
Ability to interact with a broad set of written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through.
Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor required.
Education and Experience
Seven years plus media sales experience with a minimum of five years selling online.
Current contacts at game publishers like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and Activision.
Proven track record of successful sales at sites targeting young males.
Previous sales experience at game sites like IGN, GameSpot, Electronic Arts a plus.
Creative ability to structure profitable, out-of-the-box, client sponsorships.
Ability to function autonomously while coordinating closely with the site and ad ops teams.
